📅 Contract through August 15, 2030 (Annual salary: $100,000- $120,000) Reports to: CEO/President & Director of Finance Help Bring the 2030 Special Olympics USA Games to Life The 2030 Special Olympics USA Games Cleveland is seeking an experienced, collaborative, and relationship-focused Vice President of Fundraising to help lead fundraising strategy and execution for this transformational event. The VP of Fundraising will work closely with the CEO/President, Director of Finance, Fundraising Committee, and internal team to develop and execute the Games' fundraising strategy. This role will serve as the primary staff liaison to the Fundraising Committee and help shape fundraising processes as the organization's needs evolve. The ideal candidate brings significant fundraising or relationship-management experience, strong project and team leadership skills, and the ability to bring people together around a shared purpose. While the VP of Fundraising plays a key role in fundraising efforts, revenue generation is a shared organizational responsibility. Key Responsibilities Fundraising Strategy, Materials, Fulfillment & Events Develop and support the overall fundraising strategy in collaboration with leadership, the Fundraising Committee, and internal team members. Partner with marketing and communications on fundraising materials, campaign messaging, donor communications, and related collateral. Coordinate donor fulfillment needs, including acknowledgments, recognition items, reporting support, and follow-up communications. Support special fundraising events, including timelines, logistics, committee involvement, donor touchpoints, and post-event follow-up. Track fundraising activity and provide updates to help inform priorities and next steps. Identify processes, responsibilities, and tools needed to support fundraising success. Fundraising Committee Liaison Serve as the primary staff liaison to the Fundraising Committee by coordinating meetings, agendas, materials, minutes, action items, and committee communications. Equip committee members with the information, tools, updates, and follow-up they need to support fundraising efforts and serve as ambassadors for the Games. Ensure committee activity is aligned with the overall fundraising strategy and organizational priorities. What We're Looking For 10+ years of relevant fundraising, nonprofit leadership, business development, sponsorship, relationship-management, or related experience. Experience managing one or more functional teams and translating organizational goals into clear team plans, priorities, and expectations. Direct experience working with Boards of Trustees, committees, or volunteer leadership groups . Experience with annual giving, major gifts, sponsorships, peer-to-peer fundraising, donor stewardship, campaign fulfillment, or related fundraising initiatives. Superior problem-solving, analytical thinking, time management, organization, follow-through, and project management skills. Exceptional written, verbal, and situational communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage teammates, Board members, committees, donors, and external partners. Ability to help teams find common purpose, maintain alignment, and stay focused during times of high stress. Comfort using donor databases, campaign reports, spreadsheets, financial information, and fundraising data to inform priorities and next steps.
