Position Summary We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Corporate Controller to lead the accounting and financial reporting functions for a stable, growing mid-size organization. This position will partner closely with executive leadership and operational management to ensure timely, accurate financial information, strong internal controls, effective budgeting and forecasting, and disciplined financial processes across the organization. Key Responsibilities

• Lead the accounting function, including general ledger, month-end and year-end close, accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, cash management, and financial reporting.
• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reporting packages for executive leadership.
• Develop, maintain, and improve internal controls, accounting policies, procedures, and financial processes to safeguard company assets and ensure accuracy.
• Lead the annual budgeting process and ongoing forecasting; provide variance analysis and actionable financial insight to department and operational leaders.
• Oversee cash flow planning, banking relationships, debt reporting, and working-capital management.
• Coordinate external audit, tax, insurance, and other financial compliance activities in partnership with outside advisors.
• Ensure compliance with applicable GAAP requirements and company policies.
• Partner with operations to analyze costs, margins, productivity, capital expenditures, and business performance.
• Manage, coach, and develop accounting team members while establishing clear expectations, accountability, and succession depth.
• Support payroll accounting, benefits-related financial reconciliations, and other cross-functional financial processes as appropriate.
• Evaluate systems and processes and help drive technology, reporting, and automation improvements.
• Provide financial analysis and support for strategic initiatives, capital investments, acquisitions, and other business decisions as needed. Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; CPA and/or MBA strongly preferred.
• 8+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience, including meaningful leadership responsibility; experience in a mid-size company strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated expertise in financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, internal controls, and month-end close management.
• Experience working in a manufacturing, distribution, service, industrial, or other operationally intensive environment is highly desirable.
• Strong working knowledge of GAAP and sound accounting practices.
• Proven ability to lead an accounting team and work effectively with executives, managers, auditors, banks, and outside professionals.
• Advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP/accounting systems; experience improving systems and reporting tools is a plus.
• Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
