Job Description

Assistant Controller Direct Hire opportunity! Our client is seeking an experienced Assistant Controller to join their growing manufacturing team. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional with strong financial reporting and cost accounting experience who is looking to make an impact in a fast-paced production environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting Support month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries and account reconciliations Perform cost accounting functions, including manufacturing cost analysis, inventory valuation, and variance reporting Prepare and analyze financial reports on key metrics and provide insights to support business decisions Oversee aspects of accounts payable, accounts receivable and payroll interfaces as needed Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and capital expenditure tracking Support internal controls, audits, and compliance initiatives Collaborate with operations and leadership teams to improve financial processes and reporting Contribute to ERP system enhancements and continuous process improvements
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required. CPA, CMA or equivalent certification preferred. 4+ years of progressive accounting experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment Supervisory experience a plus Strong understanding of GAAP, cost accounting, inventory management, and financial reporting Proficiency with ERP systems and advanced Microsoft Excel skills Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills High attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment Gage is a trusted professional recruiting firm with over 40 years of experience, connecting top talent with career opportunities in multiple sectors. Pay:
$100,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
