Full Job Description Job Summary:
The Controller is responsible for the overall accounting operations of the Company, including financial reporting, accounting records, internal controls, budgeting, forecasting, cash management, audit coordination, and regulatory compliance. This position ensures the integrity of financial information and provides leadership and strategic financial support to management.
Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities:
Ø Oversee all accounting operations for the Company and related entities. Ø Manage and maintain the ERP system and accounting processes. Ø Develop, implement, and maintain accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls. Ø Maintain accounting records, chart of accounts, and filing systems. Ø Manage outsourced accounting and reporting functions. Ø Ensure timely processing of accounts payable and completion of bank reconciliations. Ø Maintain fixed asset records and depreciation schedules. Ø Assist Payroll with reporting and accounting discrepancies.
Financial Reporting & Analysis:
Ø Prepare accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Ø Develop and distribute management reports, KPIs, and operational metrics. Ø Perform financial analysis and communicate significant trends and variances. Ø Recommend benchmarks and performance measures for company operations. Ø Support executive decision-making through financial modeling and analysis.
Budgeting, Forecasting & Planning:
Ø Lead the annual budgeting process. Ø Prepare financial forecasts and projections. Ø Analyze budget variances and report significant issues to management.
Cash Management, Banking & Debt Administration:
Ø Maintain banking relationships and oversee cash management activities. Ø Ensure debt payments are made timely and accurately. Ø Monitor debt levels and compliance with loan covenants.
Audit, Tax & Regulatory Compliance:
Ø Coordinate annual financial statement audits. Ø Provide information required for CPA audits, tax returns, and 401(k) audits. Ø Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal reporting requirements and tax filings.
Business Administration & Risk Management:
Ø Assist with annual insurance renewals and compliance requirements. Ø Ensure business licenses are renewed timely and accurately. Ø Monitor compliance with lease agreements, CAM requirements, and real estate management obligations.
Leadership & Team Development:
Ø Lead, mentor, and develop accounting staff. Ø Maintain an organizational structure that supports departmental goals. Ø Promote accountability, efficiency, and continuous improvement within the accounting function.
General Qualifications:
Ø Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field; equivalent experience may be considered. Ø Minimum of 10 years of progressive accounting and finance experience. Ø Experience in the restaurant industry preferred. Ø Master's degree, CPA, and/or CMA designation preferred.

Strategic Planning Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the incumbent is regularly required to finger, grasp, feel, talk, hear, and perform repetitive motion. Much of the work performed is sedentary in nature, yet may require exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and up to 10 pounds of force frequently and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects
Visual Demands:
The incumbent is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as preparing and analyzing data and figures, transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and/or operation of machines (including inspection); using measurement devices; and/or assembly or fabrication of parts at distances close to the eyes. Environmental Conditions:
