Assistant Controller A client of ours is looking a Assistant Controller to join its growing finance and accounting team for a contract role. This role is responsible for supporting general accounting operations, maintaining accurate financial records, preparing journal entries, and assisting with financial reporting activities. The ideal candidate will have strong corporate accounting experience and hands-on expertise with Oracle Cloud ERP, which is required for success in this position.

Responsibilities:

Prepare and post journal entries to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting. Support monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes. Perform general ledger account reconciliations and resolve variances. Maintain and analyze financial records to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies. Assist in the preparation of internal and external financial reports. Support balance sheet and income statement analyses. Review accounting transactions and ensure proper classification and recording. Utilize Oracle Cloud ERP to manage accounting activities, reporting, and financial data. Assist with audit requests and provide supporting documentation as needed. Monitor and improve accounting processes and internal controls. Collaborate with cross-functional departments to support financial and operational objectives. Participate in special projects and process improvement initiatives. Skills/Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. 4+ years of progressive accounting experience. Must have hands-on experience with Oracle Cloud ERP. Strong knowledge of general accounting principles and practices. Experience preparing and reviewing journal entries. Strong financial reporting and general ledger accounting experience. Experience with month-end and year-end close processes. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational abilities. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. CPA or CPA-track preferred.
