Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Controller specializing in Manufacturing to lead our financial operations and ensure the integrity of our accounting practices. Duties Lead the preparation and analysis of financial statements in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards), ensuring accuracy and compliance. Oversee general ledger accounting, balance sheet reconciliation, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll processes to maintain precise financial records. Manage the month-end and year-end closing processes, including financial close processing and journal entries. Conduct cost accounting analysis to monitor manufacturing costs, identify efficiencies, and support budgeting and forecasting efforts. Ensure regulatory compliance by managing SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act) controls, governmental accounting requirements, and regulatory reporting obligations. Fostering a culture of accuracy, accountability, and continuous improvement. Utilize advanced spreadsheets, accounting software such as Sage, QuickBooks, Xero, and other financial systems for data analysis, reporting, and automation of routine tasks. Perform internal audits including account reconciliation and balance sheet review to uphold financial integrity. Prepare annual budgets Support treasury management activities such as cash flow forecasting, cash management strategies, and banking relationships. Prepare detailed financial reports for executive leadership that highlight key metrics, variances, and insights to inform strategic decision-making. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field; CPA or CMA certification preferred. Extensive experience in corporate accounting within manufacturing environments; experience with nonprofit or governmental accounting is a plus. Strong knowledge of

GAAP, IFRS, SOX

compliance standards, and regulatory frameworks relevant to manufacturing operations. Proven ability to manage accounting teams effectively while maintaining high standards of accuracy and timeliness. Proficiency with financial software including Sage, Xero, QuickBooks, Excel (including data analysis), and other enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems. Demonstrated expertise in financial report writing, technical accounting concepts, cost analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and internal controls. Excellent analytical skills with a focus on account reconciliation, account analysis, double entry bookkeeping, and financial concepts. Strong understanding of governmental accounting principles as they relate to public funding or grants is advantageous. Exceptional communication skills for preparing clear reports and collaborating across departments to ensure compliance with all financial regulations.
