Comptroller

We are seeking a Comptroller to oversee financial operations and support the organization by providing accurate reporting, financial insights, and strong internal controls to guide business decisions and growth. Job Summary The Comptroller is responsible for overseeing the financial operations of the organization, ensuring accuracy in accounting, compliance with regulations, and effective financial reporting. This role manages budgeting, financial analysis, and internal controls while supporting strategic decision-making. Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all accounting operations, including accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and general ledger
• Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
• Manage the budgeting process and monitor financial performance against forecasts
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local financial regulations
• Develop and enforce internal controls to safeguard company assets
• Coordinate audits and work with external auditors
• Monitor cash flow and manage banking relationships
• Provide financial insights and recommendations to senior leadership
• Supervise and mentor accounting staff (2 direct reports) Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 5+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles (GAAP)
• Experience with financial reporting and budgeting
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
• Experience with SAP or NetSuite is a plus
• Cost accounting experience is a plus
• Prior experience in a manufacturing environment is highly beneficial
