Job Description
For over 50 years, Hydro-Pac, Inc. has designed and built custom high-pressure equipment for customers worldwide. If you want to join a small independent company with a proven track record and steady growth, this is a great opportunity for you. As our Controller, you'll oversee accounting and financial reporting for the entire company. You'll be responsible for compliance, tax, financial reporting, supervising accounting personnel, and performing Human Resources functions. The role is critical for maintaining the Company's financial health through costing analysis, inventory valuation, and account reconciliations. In addition, you will be responsible for employee benefits administration, payroll processing, company insurance administration and reporting, and help lead the Safety Committee. Duties Include Prepare financial statements
- monthly, quarterly, and annually Maintain fixed assets Bank account reconciliation Prepare annual inventory, write down entry and enter in Syteline Prepare for annual financial closing with CPA firm Process payroll and prepare/file/pay related payroll taxes Prepare employee W2s and vendor 1099s Review hourly labor daily, discussing discrepancies with production manager Check bank transactions daily, providing needed information to Accounting Clerk Prepare PA use tax Establish, maintain, and review customer credit Company insurance administration and reporting•General and Worker's Compensation Prepare worker's compensation injury reports and OSHA logs Review and close customer orders Scrap cost estimation•calculate, analyze, and report the findings to Management Indirect labor analysis•print reports monthly for Management review Help lead the safety committee meetings and perform the secretary's duty of typing the meeting minutes and maintaining the necessary records Maintain accounting record retention program and purge files annually Prepare 401K census for third party administrator January of each year Prepare

log and post by 1/31/xx of each year
- required by OSHA Supervise Accounting Associate and act as back-up to staff when necessary Employee benefits administration Onboard new employees and complete employment verification Maintain personnel files, including any Short-Term/Long-Term Disability claims and unemployment claims Other duties as they relate to the position Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field Minimum 5 years experience•manufacturing a plus Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel and other Office applications Supervisory experience with strong analytical and communication skills Experience with Syteline manufacturing software preferred or similar ERP/MRP system Human Resource background/training Ability to work with a team, prioritize tasks, and handle multiple projects at the same time Why join Hydro-Pac, Inc?
