We are currently searching for an enthusiastic, knowledgeable detail-oriented Controller to join our team. As a valued member of the Finance team, the Controller is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day accounting and financial reporting functions of the Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC) under the direction and supervision of the Chief Financial Officer. The Controller ensures the accuracy, timeliness, and integrity of the organization's financial records and reports while maintaining effective internal controls and accounting procedures. In partnership with other departments, the Controller will work to foster and cultivate relationships and a sense of community among all residents and team members through leadership, empowerment and innovation. The Controller works closely with the CFO and members of the leadership team to support budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, cash management, audit preparation, regulatory compliance, and sound financial decision-making. The Controller directly supervises the Accounts Payable/Receivable Coordinator and Billing Specialist and provides leadership, guidance, and oversight to ensure efficient financial operations. The Controller of Foulkeways will promote the mission and values of Foulkeways and will assist in the creation of a culture that celebrates diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging. This role is fully onsite, Monday through Friday. Occasional evenings and weekends may be required.
Qualifications Required:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field required. CPA or other relevant professional certification strongly preferred. Minimum of five years of progressively responsible accounting or finance experience. Prior supervisory experience required or strongly preferred. Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, account reconciliation, budgeting, and internal controls. Strong Microsoft Excel and accounting/ERP system skills. Excellent analytical, organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills. Able to effectively communicate with residents, their families, team members and other management team leaders
Qualifications Preferred:
Experience with systems such as Point-Click-Care, UKG, SAGE and RAMP preferred. Experience in a CCRC, senior living, healthcare, nonprofit, or similarly complex organization preferred.
