A Controller directs and oversees the treasury of a government, private corporation or non-profit organization, and may oversee the investment of funds. Supervises the quality of accounting and financial reporting within an organization, and directs preparation of reports that show the financial position of an organization.

Essential Duties:
Lead and supervise the accounting department , including assigning work, managing workload, providing training and development, and addressing performance issues as needed. Oversee daily accounting and cash management activities , including review of cash receipts, disbursements, bank activity, account transfers, and cash position. Manage monthly and year-end financial close and reporting , including general ledger activity, bank reconciliations, fixed assets, prepaid expenses, Work-In-Progress, and preparation of financial statements. Oversee construction job costing and Work-In-Progress reporting , including monitoring job profitability, costs-to-complete, budgets, and over/under-billings; collaborate with Project Managers and Estimators to address variances and financial concerns. Develop and maintain financial planning and analysis , including annual budgets, backlog analysis, financial forecasts, key performance indicators, and other financial reports for management and ownership. Manage the company's banking and financing relationships , including cash management, borrowing base reporting, financing arrangements, and other banking needs. Oversee tax, regulatory, insurance, and other financial compliance , including sales and use tax, unclaimed property, required regulatory reporting, insurance accounting, and annual inventory processes. Coordinate annual financial activities , including the company-wide budgeting process, CPA review, year-end reconciliations, financial documentation, and preparation for external accounting needs. Maintain key external relationships , including the company's CPA firm, banks and financial institutions, insurance providers, pension plan providers, and other financial partners. Participate as a member of the management team , providing financial guidance and support to company leadership and operational divisions and contributing to company-wide policies, planning, and strategic decisions. Perform other duties as assigned. Required skills and qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting (or equivalent in related field). Five (5) or more years of experience in public and/or corporate accounting as a senior-level accounting or finance manager. Professional certification, such as CPA (certified public accountant) or CA (chartered accountant) is nice to have. Language Skills Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures, financial reports, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and standard operating procedures. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, customers, and the general public. Mathematical Skills Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Pay:
$120,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
