Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Controller to join our leadership team and oversee the company's accounting and financial operations. This position will lead the finance team and oversee key functions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, payroll, financial reporting, budgeting, and compliance. The ideal candidate is a hands-on financial leader with strong knowledge of GAAP, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work effectively with employees and leadership at all levels. Experience in a construction, manufacturing or industrial environment is highly preferred. Key Responsibilities Oversee, plan, and direct the daily operations of the finance and accounting team. Maintain and improve documented accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls across multiple divisions. Oversee the preparation of periodic financial statements and reports, ensuring compliance with GAAP . Supervise, support, and develop accounting staff. Establish and recommend financial benchmarks and performance metrics. Assist with annual budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling. Analyze budget-to-actual results and communicate significant variances to management. Provide financial analysis and guidance related to: Capital investments Pricing decisions Contract negotiations Business performance Coordinate with external auditors and provide documentation and information needed for annual audits. Manage outsourced accounting and finance functions. Ensure compliance with applicable local, state, and federal financial and reporting requirements. Identify opportunities to improve financial processes, controls, and efficiencies. Perform other accounting and finance duties as assigned. Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety requirements. Represent the company in a professional, ethical, and courteous manner. An experienced manager who can effectively lead and develop an accounting team. An excellent written and verbal communicator. Strong in organization, prioritization, and time management. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field. Minimum of 5 years of accounting-related experience. Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting. Previous supervisory or management experience. Preferred Qualifications Experience working in a construction, manufacturing or industrial environment. Experience overseeing accounting operations across multiple divisions. Experience with budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and audits. Why Join Us?
