Type:

full-time We are seeking a Financial Controller to join a well-established manufacturing organization. Reporting directly to the CFO, this role will oversee core accounting and financial operations while partnering closely with manufacturing and business leadership. This is a highly hands-on Controller position within a lean accounting environment. The ideal candidate will have strong manufacturing accounting experience, a deep understanding of the general ledger and month-end close process, and the ability to work directly in an ERP system while utilizing Excel to prepare and analyze financial information.

Responsibilites:

Own and execute the monthly month-end close process Prepare monthly financial statements and internal financial reporting packages Provide cost accounting expertise for manufacturing operations Partner with manufacturing teams to ensure accurate capture of production costs and analyze production variances Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and other general ledger activities Pull accounting and operational data from the ERP system and utilize Excel to prepare financials and analysis Oversee balance sheet reconciliations and ensure appropriate supporting documentation Serve as a key contact for external auditors and support financial statement audits and tax-related requests Oversee Sales & Use Tax compliance Manage treasury activities and capital expenditures, including depreciation Support budgeting and provide meaningful financial analysis to management Monitor financial systems and controls and identify opportunities for process improvement Partner with IT and business stakeholders to improve and automate financial processes Manage multi-location and multi-divisional accounting transactions Support management with ad hoc financial analysis and reporting Supervise accounting team members and provide leadership across the accounting function

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field 7+ years of Controller-level or progressive accounting experience Strong manufacturing accounting experience Demonstrated ownership of month-end close and financial statement preparation Strong general ledger and journal entry experience Experience with cost accounting and manufacturing operations Strong knowledge of GAAP Advanced Microsoft Excel skills Ability to navigate an ERP system and understand how financial data is derived Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills Ability to work independently in a lean, hands-on environment Experience supervising accounting professionals

Preferred:

Experience with JD Edwards EnterpriseOne (JDE E1) CPA, CMA, or MBA This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on accounting leader to work closely with the CFO and have a direct impact on the organization's financial operations, reporting, and manufacturing accounting processes.
