JOB PURPOSE AND REPORTING STRUCTURE
We are looking for a member of our management team as the Controller, reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, who will be providing direction, guidance and control over the accounting dept. Creates and implements policies and procedures to ensure process efficiencies. Along with the CFO, anticipates industry trend challenges and proactively mitigates risk. Ensuring a sustainable growth strategy for the organization while managing the budgets, financial reporting systems and integration within operations of the business. In addition, the Controller will improve efficiency, standardization, and quality and operation agility. We are looking for a leader who is proactive and assertive, take charge professional with an engaging leadership style. We are not looking for just any numbers guru, but rather a person who is a progressive, forward-thinker that is aggressive and motivated to excel beyond the possible! One who builds a high performing team to excellence and that is not afraid to push back on ideas and suggestions from other key members of the team. An educator on financial implications of proposed and actual business decisions. An excellent communicator that delivers financial data to leadership and details performance metrics. One who makes recommendations to leadership regarding cost saving or profit generating opportunities and profitability improvement strategies. A political savvy, relationship builder with internal and external parties. This leader will find a sense of accomplishment and impact of not only growing the team but moving our business to the next level! Overall, this Controller will understand how financial decisions affect the key processes, operations, and divisions of the business from every angle. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Analyze and interpret data and make comparative analyses. Establish and enforce accounting policies and procedures. Preparation of budgets and month-end reports. Monitor payables and receivables, payroll and general ledger transactions. Manage special projects Recommend schedule for expenditures. Analyze budget variances and initiate corrective action. Ensure company complies with federal, state and local legal requirements. Study new and existing legislation, and anticipate future legislation. Provide information to external auditors. Develop our talent. Assess our current accounting team and define our talent gaps and needs moving forward. Build and develop our talent to become our future leaders. Implement a cross-training program to increase employee engagement and retention Review and assess our current financial performance. Provide proactive guidance and solutions to the executive team and organization based on thorough analysis aimed at identifying our organization's risks.
