Medical, Dental, Vision & 401(k) for eligible employees North Shore Suburbs | Hybrid Schedule I'm currently partnering with a well-established healthcare organization in the North Shore suburbs that is seeking an experienced Controller to join its finance leadership team. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on financial leader with strong healthcare accounting experience and looking to join a growing organization. The Controller will oversee key accounting and financial operations, including general ledger, purchasing, system management, cash management, and revenue cycle management. The role will also play an important part in navigating complex insurance reimbursement streams and strengthening the organization's cash reserves. Working closely with the CFO, the Controller will help develop and present high-level monthly financial summaries and KPIs to organizational leadership and the Board. Key Responsibilities Oversee the organization's accounting operations, including month-end close, general ledger, reconciliations, journal entries, and financial reporting. Manage cash management, cash forecasting, cash transfers, and overall liquidity. Manage revenue cycle accounting involving government and commercial insurance reimbursement. Review revenue recognition schedules and ensure accurate financial reporting. Oversee purchasing and related financial processes. Establish and maintain effective accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls. Oversee financial systems and ensure data integrity and accurate reporting. Partner with the CFO on monthly financial reporting, KPIs, forecasting, and strategic financial analysis. Prepare and present high-level financial information to senior leadership and the Board. Support budgeting, forecasting, audits, and other financial planning initiatives. Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting team while building a collaborative, high-performing department. Identify opportunities to improve processes, automate workflows, and strengthen financial controls. Work cross-functionally with organizational leaders to provide financial guidance and support. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. 5+ years of controllership experience with progressively responsible accounting leadership. Accounting experience within the healthcare industry. Previous leadership experience managing and developing accounting/finance professionals. Strong knowledge of general ledger accounting, month-end close, reconciliations, financial reporting, and cash management. Experience with cash forecasting and cash transfers. Strong understanding of healthcare revenue cycle and reimbursement processes. Demonstrated ability to build teams, develop talent, and retain strong employees. #AO9
