Job Description

Mid-sized law firm is seeking a Controller to oversee day-to-day operations. We are offering aggressive compensation, and benefit packages in a dynamic, collegial atmosphere. We are seeking an experienced Controller to oversee financial operations and lead our accounting team while working closely with firm leadership and the CFO. Responsibilities Lead day-to-day accounting operations including GL, reconciliations, month-end close and year-end close Assist CFO with preparation of financial reports Assist CFO with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis Coordinate with billing specialists on WIP, collections, and revenue reporting Oversee accounts payable, payroll coordination, and cash management Ensure compliance attorney trust accounting requirements (IOLTA) Assist CFO with monitoring profitability by practice group, attorney, and client Improve financial systems, procedures and reporting within the firm's practice management/LMS software Assist with accounting related projects and initiatives Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance CPA preferred 10+ years accounting/controller experience, including 5+ years in a leadership role Law firm or professional services experience strongly preferred Strong knowledge of financial reporting, internal controls, and billing environments Experience with legal billing/practice management software Must be proficient with
Excel Pay:
$150,000.00 - $175,000.00 per year
