Type:
full-time StevenDouglas has partnered with a growing construction and engineering company in Northern Virginia on their search for a Controller. This role is hybrid (3x per week onsite) and does not offer any relocation or remote options. Reporting to the Founder/President , the Controller is responsible for all accounting and finance operations as well as providing strategic guidance to the company. This is a hands-on position with a small staff and requires a detail-oriented individual who can wear multiple hats. As the company is growing, the Controller will have a seat at the table with Senior Management and be involved in decision making. Responsibilities Month End Close Financial Reporting (Management and Project) Payroll/AP/AR Liaison with Government Agencies and Auditors Qualifications 7+ years of Accounting Experience, including all Finance/Accounting Operations Strong Proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel, other tools Construction Accounting Experience (job costing, project based accounting) CPA preferred BS in Accounting/Finance
