We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Corporate Controller to join our dynamic team. The Corporate Controller will play a crucial role in overseeing the financial health of the organization, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, directing budget and cost controls, and financial analysis. This leadership position requires a strategic thinker with a strong background in corporate finance, accounting, and team management.Responsibilities:
Develop, analyze, and interpret statistical and accounting information to appraise operating results in terms of profitability, performance, and other matters bearing on the fiscal soundness and operating effectiveness of the organization. Prepare financial analyses of operations, including interim and year-end financial statements with supporting schedules for the guidance of management. Manage daily cash responsibilities, including reviewing daily banking activity, transferring funds between accounts, and borrowing or repaying funds on the line of credit as necessary and appropriate. Partner with FP&A for the annual budgeting process and collaborate with department heads to establish financial targets. Assist in the preparation of financial forecasts, and institute and maintain other planning and control procedures. Additionally, analyze and report variances. Monitor customer account and/or product profitability and report variances to historical and forecasted performance to management. Manage and develop the finance and accounting team, providing mentorship, coaching, and professional development opportunities. Maintain working familiarity with core functionality of the current IT backbone, and secure periodic training in the proper use of the most important services for use during emergencies or in the absence of the Manager of Information Services. Ensure compliance with financial and accounting regulations. Perform financial risk assessments and conduct internal audits. Assist with corporate financial decisions.Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; MBA or CPA designation preferred, or relevant experience. 7+ years of experience in financial management Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting requirements. Proven experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis. Excellent leadership and team management skills. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Experience in the retail industry is a plus.
