Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Finance Director to lead our financial operations and drive fiscal excellence across the organization. The ideal candidate will oversee all aspects of financial management, including accounting, reporting, budgeting, and compliance, ensuring alignment with industry standards and regulatory requirements. This role will shape financial strategies, optimize resource allocation, and support sustainable and continual fiscal and operational growth. We foster a highly collaborative environment and our senior leaders operate on an "open door" policy at all times. The position will be hybrid based, working on site 1-2 days per week. We are only considering candidates that reside within 100 miles of our Western OR offices. Responsibilities Develop and implement robust financial strategies aligned with organizational goals to enhance overall fiscal health. Oversees accounting functions, including general ledger management, account reconciliation, and financial statement preparation. Performs the design and development of financial projection models to develop strategic planning and decision-making processes. Performs cash flow analysis, investment management, and risk mitigation strategies. Supervises the accounting team, fostering professional development while maintaining high standards of accuracy in financial operations. Conducts risk analysis to identify potential vulnerabilities and implement effective risk management procedures. Leads all budgeting processes, cost control initiatives, and profit & loss analysis to optimize operational efficiency. Is responsible for audit relationships. Drives continuous improvement in financial systems and processes through technological integration and best practices. Skills A minimum of a bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance from a recognized and accredited university is a must for consideration for this position. Extensive experience in both finance and accounting roles with a strong background in financial management, accounting systems, and software proficiency. Proficiency with data analytics tools such as Excel data analysis features for complex financial and or pricing modeling. Demonstrated leadership capabilities with the ability to manage teams effectively while fostering a collaborative environment. Ability to develop comprehensive financial models for forecasting and decision support purposes. Sound understanding of investment management principles and fiscal management practices. Technical proficiency in accounting software systems used for general ledger reconciliation, accounts payable/receivable processing, and compliance management. Exceptional analytical skills with attention to detail in account analysis, balance sheet reconciliation, cash flow analysis, and account reconciliation tasks.
