Real Estate Controller Location:
Cherry Hill, NJ (Hybrid - 3 days in office)
Compensation:
Up to $170,000 + Bonus A growing and well-established commercial real estate owner/developer is seeking an experienced Real Estate Controller to lead the accounting and financial reporting function for a diverse property portfolio throughout the Mid-Atlantic. This is a highly visible leadership opportunity reporting directly to the CFO with responsibility for overseeing property accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, and managing the month-end close process.
Requirements:
CPA required 7+ years of progressive real estate accounting experience Prior Controller or Assistant Controller experience Strong Yardi Voyager experience required Experience with commercial real estate portfolios Thorough understanding of GAAP, budgeting, financial reporting, CAM reconciliations, and month-end close Advanced Excel skills
Responsibilities:
Oversee all property and corporate accounting activities Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting Supervise month-end and year-end close Review budgets, forecasts, and variance analyses Oversee cash management and banking relationships Coordinate annual audits and tax support Develop and mentor the accounting team Partner with executive leadership on acquisitions, refinancings, and process improvements
Compensation & Benefits:
