Associated Students, Inc. invites strategic financial leaders who are collaborative, curious, and committed to developing others to help shape the future of a dynamic, student-centered organization. This is an on-site position with flexible work arrangements, including the option to work a hybrid schedule with two or three remote workdays per week. The anticipated start date is late fall 2026. Established in 1963, Associated Students, Inc., Cal Poly Pomona is a nonprofit auxiliary organization governed by a student board of directors elected by the student body and supported by approximately 65 full-time and 500 part-time employees, the majority of whom are students. Funded primarily through mandatory student fees, ASI serves more than 28,000 students by providing opportunities for student engagement, employment, leadership development, recreation and wellness, student government, childcare, and a broad array of campus programs and services. ASI also provides enterprise support through human resources, financial services, organizational development, information technology, facilities and operations, and marketing. Administratively housed within the Division of Student Affairs, with a collaborative reporting relationship to Administrative Affairs, ASI is committed to becoming a learning organization that values collaboration, continuous improvement, and shared accountability, and has recently reimagined its purpose, vision, mission, and core values to guide its future. Reporting to the executive director, the senior director of finance and business strategy serves as ASI's chief strategic financial leader and a member of the executive leadership team. The senior director provides enterprise leadership for long-range financial planning, investment and reserve stewardship, financial governance, business strategy, and organizational sustainability. Working with executive leadership, university partners, and the student-governed Board of Directors, the senior director ensures that ASI's financial resource advance the organization's mission while safeguarding the long-term stewardship of student-fee resources. The senior director provides strategic financial leadership for an auxiliary organization with approximately $21 million in annual operating revenues, $53 million in invested assets, and $43 million in board-designated reserves. The position supports the financial stewardship of 294,253 square feet of student facilities, including the Bronco Student Center (BSC), the Bronco Recreation and Intramural Complex (BRIC), and the swimming pool, while guiding long-range financial planning, resource allocation, capital strategy, and organizational sustainability across a growing, increasingly complex enterprise. Building upon a strong financial foundation, healthy reserves, and an engaged executive leadership team, the next senior director will play a central role in modernizing financial systems, strengthening enterprise financial planning, and advancing the long-term sustainability of a dynamic, student-centered organization. The salary range is $156,000 - $169,000.
