full-time Prominent, international Private Equity firm seeks a VP to lead the investment accounting function for their NYC office. This is a hybrid role, 4 days per week in midtown Manhattan.

Responsibilities include:

Lead the Investment Accounting function for a growing global alternatives investment platform. Serve as a senior accounting partner to investment, portfolio management, and operating teams. Provide accounting guidance on complex investments and transactions, with particular exposure to private credit. Oversee P&L activity, transaction accounting, and the accurate capture of investment activity across core systems. Partner with Investment, Operations, FP&A, Tax, Legal, Compliance, and other groups to resolve complex accounting and operational matters. Oversee monthly and quarterly reporting while providing analysis and insights to senior leadership and key business partners. Lead and develop the New York Investment Accounting team and collaborate with global accounting teams to drive consistency and efficiency. Identify opportunities to improve reporting, automation, technology, controls, and operational processes. Help develop and implement accounting policies as the platform expands into new products and transaction structures. Participate in strategic, cross-functional initiatives and serve as a senior resource on accounting and operational matters. Qualified candidates should have 10+ years of accounting experience in the alternative investment space. Private Credit knowledge highly preferred. Total cash comp 250k-300k DOE
