We're looking for an experienced Vice President of Finance & Operations to lead our financial strategy and oversee operational excellence across the organization. This is a key executive role with a direct impact on business performance, scalability, and long-term growth. The ideal candidate is both strategic and tactical, someone who can see the big picture while also rolling up their sleeves to optimize processes and build strong teams. The Vice President of Finance & Operations will lead the Finance and Operations functions of the company ensuring timely and accurate completion of all related activities in alignment with company strategy and risk tolerance. This role will report to the CEO and partner with the senior leadership team on business strategy, process optimization, and systems functionality and improvements to support company growth. Accounting and Finance Responsibilities Direct and oversee all aspects of accounting operations, including close (monthly, quarterly and annual), cost accounting, cash management, and financial reporting Develop and maintain accounting policies, internal controls, and processes in accordance with GAAP Oversee monthly and annual financial reporting, including the annual budget and forecasts, to enhance visibility, consistency, and business performance Develop KPI dashboards, operational reporting, and performance analytics in partnership with senior leadership team to support data-driven decision making Partner with parent company (Card Factory), CEO and senior leadership team to develop short and long-term financial plans, projections and budgets Manage relationships with external banks, accounting firms and auditors to ensure tax compliance and timely completion of audits Lead financial systems optimization efforts and process improvements to enhance scalability, reporting capabilities, and data integrity Build and maintain the financial infrastructure and strategy required to support continued growth, operational scale, and enterprise value creation Remain current on audit best practices and applicable federal, state, and local laws regarding company operations Operations Responsibilities Oversee the operations and quality assurance functions responsible for managing production, factory partner compliance, importing, logistics and inventory for Garven Design Group and Cadence Packaging Group divisions Lead internal process development and enhancements to improve accuracy, consistency and risk mitigation Build infrastructure required to support continued growth and operational scale Manage the organization's technology infrastructure, ensuring reliable and secure systems, and serving as the primary liaison with external IT service providers Coordinate building maintenance, vendors, and workplace safety programs to maintain a secure and functional environment for employees and visitors Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA (or prior CPA certification) not required but a plus 10-15+ years of progressive accounting and financial leadership experience, preferably within consumer products industry Strong knowledge of GAAP, internal controls, and financial governance Advanced financial modeling, forecasting, and analytical capabilities Hands-on leadership style with the ability to operate both strategically and tactically in a lean, fast-paced, growth-oriented environment Strong business acumen, sound judgment, and professional credibility Effective communication and leadership skills, with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally Strong interpersonal communication skills with a proven ability to build long-lasting relationships with internal teams and external partners Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, ability to prioritize and meet deadlines, and demonstrated problem-solving ability Entrepreneurial, energetic, forward-thinking individual with high ethical standards
