This pivotal role involves overseeing all aspects of accounting functions, maintaining compliance with regulatory standards, and providing strategic financial insights. The ideal candidate will bring a strong foundation in accounting principles, exceptional leadership skills, and a passion for driving financial excellence within a high-performance organization. Key Responsibilities Lead the preparation and analysis of financial statements. Oversee the management of the general ledger, ensuring accurate account reconciliation, debits & credits, and balance sheet integrity. Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring timely payments and collections. Supervise cash management activities, including forecasting, banking relationships, and liquidity optimization. Conduct detailed financial analysis, account analysis, and variance reporting to support strategic decision-making. Oversee payroll processing using various financial software such as toast payroll and Restaurant365. Coordinate internal audits and facilitate external audits to maintain transparency and accountability Develop and implement budgeting procedures while monitoring ongoing financial performance against forecasts. Oversee and manage the accounting department, including internal team members and any external or contracted accounting partners, ensuring efficient operations and alignment with company goals. Manage cash flow, forecasting, and liquidity planning to maintain financial health and operational stability. Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local tax regulations, and maintain accurate documentation for audits and filings. Oversee payroll processes to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and full regulatory compliance. Audit all statements from Unit Accountants, Operating Partners and Home Office Accountants. Act as a liaison between Unit Accountants and Home Office Accounts to ensure compliance of CA accounting practices. Communicate with CFO and COO all opportunities from store level accounting and payroll practices on a weekly basis. Qualifications Proven experience in accounting leadership roles with experience in corporate accounting, public accounting, or non -profit sectors. Strong knowledge of restaurant accounting practices, payroll and tax compliance. Demonstrated proficiency with accounting software such as toast and Restaurant365, or equivalent financial management tools. Extensive experience with balance sheet reconciliation, account reconciliation, account analysis, and double-entry bookkeeping. Excellent understanding of financial concepts including cash flow management, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis. Exceptional attention to detail combined with strong analytical skills and sound financial acumen. Effective leadership abilities with experience managing finance teams and cross-functional collaboration.
