Responsibilities:
Support Finance Controller in managing financial operations of the GBU and ensure compliance with policies as well as maintaining the integrity of financial processes. Prepare monthly and year-end closing activities, journal entries, reconciliations and financial reports.
What You'll Do:
Financial Reporting:
Prepare and issue accurate and timely monthly and annual financial reports for internal and corporate use, supporting the monthly forecast.
Finance Oversight:
Oversee finance activities, including cost accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger activities and potentially payroll.
Compliance:
Ensure robust internal controls and documentation to comply with financial regulations and group policies. Assist with internal and external audits.
Budgeting and Forecasting:
Support the annual budget preparation and reporting, developing tools for future use. Monitor performance against the budget and provide variance analysis.
Reporting and Documentation:
Prepare or ensure the preparation of reports required by regulatory agencies.
Process Improvement:
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial operations.
Financial Analysis:
Conduct financial analysis to provide insights into financial performance, trends, and variances. Assist in financial modelling and scenario analysis.
Team Management:
Supervise and mentor finance staff. Provide guidance and support for their professional development.
Ad-hoc Projects:
Assist with special projects and analysis as needed, including system implementations and process optimizations. The above is not intended to be an exhaustive list of all duties and responsibilities required. Other duties may be assigned from time to time.
Qualifications:
What You'll Bring:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Master's degree or CPA certification is a plus. Experience in financial reporting and control, ideally within a multinational manufacturing environment. Proven experience (typically 5-8 years) in accounting or finance roles, with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory role. Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and compliance regulations. Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Experience with ERP systems is a plus. Excellent analytical skills with the ability to advise on Finance and control matters. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
