Less than 10% We are partnering with an established international manufacturing organization in Knoxville to identify an experienced Controller to join its leadership team. This is a highly visible, hands-on leadership position with responsibility for the full accounting and finance function, including financial reporting, cost accounting, budgeting, forecasting, cash management, compliance, inventory, and internal controls. Beyond traditional accounting leadership, this individual will also have exposure to broader areas of the business, making this an excellent opportunity for a Controller who enjoys working cross-functionally and having a meaningful impact on company operations. What You'll Do Lead the organization's accounting and finance operations, including general accounting, cost accounting, AP, AR, fixed assets, budgeting, forecasting, and cash management Own the monthly close process, journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting Provide financial analysis and business insights to senior leadership Oversee manufacturing cost accounting, inventory accuracy, cycle counts, stocktaking, and inventory audits Ensure compliance with GAAP and support IFRS-related reporting requirements Manage annual audits, tax preparation, government reporting, and relationships with external auditors and advisors Oversee banking activities and cash forecasting Administer payroll and the company's 401(k) program Maintain and strengthen internal controls and compliance processes Lead and develop accounting and operational support team members Partner with departments across the organization to improve processes and support strategic initiatives Provide administrative oversight of additional business support functions, including IT and Sales/Service Support What We're Looking For Bachelor's degree in Accounting required 10+ years of progressive accounting experience 5+ years of leadership experience with direct supervisory responsibility Strong manufacturing accounting and cost accounting experience 5+ years of experience working within ERP systems Strong understanding of
GAAP IFRS
experience is highly desirable Advanced Microsoft Excel skills Strong analytical and problem-solving ability Experience with inventory accounting and operational finance Ability to lead teams and work effectively across multiple departments CPA preferred but not required Why Consider This Opportunity?
