Fully Onsite Salary Range:
$150,000 – $175,000 + 15% Bonus Manufacturing / Distribution About the Opportunity – Assistant Controller Our client is seeking an experienced Assistant Controller to join a high-performing finance and accounting team. This position offers significant leadership exposure, succession-planning potential, and the opportunity to help shape the financial future of a growing organization in the durable products sector. Key Responsibilities – Assistant Controller Assist in overseeing the organization's accounting operations and financial reporting Manage and mentor accounting staff, including senior-level accounting professionals Ensure compliance with GAAP and company accounting policies Maintain oversight of general ledger accuracy and integrity Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes Support preparation and review of financial statements and management reports Oversee inventory accounting, inventory controls, and cycle count processes Assist with cost accounting analysis and reporting Coordinate audit activities and support external auditors Drive process improvements, operational efficiencies, and internal control enhancements Partner with executive leadership on strategic financial initiatives Qualifications – Assistant Controller CPA certification required 8+ years of progressive accounting experience Previous Accounting Manager or higher-level leadership experience required Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and general ledger management Experience with inventory accounting, inventory lifecycle management, and cycle counts Exposure to cost accounting required Durable products industry experience required Public accounting experience strongly preferred Combination of public and private accounting experience highly desirable Demonstrated leadership, coaching, and team development skills Strong business acumen and problem-solving abilities Concise, direct communication style with the ability to make sound decisions efficiently Why Consider This Opportunities?
