Corporate Financial Planning and Analysis Director

Overview A growing manufacturing organization is seeking a strategic and hands-on Director of Finance with a strong FP&A focus to lead financial operations and drive data-driven decision-making across a multi-entity environment. This role is ideal for a finance leader who thrives in a dynamic setting with multiple business units, complex cost structures, and a strong need for operational visibility. Reporting directly to executive leadership, this position blends traditional accounting leadership with forward-looking financial planning and analysis, playing a critical role in shaping business strategy, optimizing performance, and supporting continued growth. Key Responsibilities Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Leadership Lead the annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning processes across multiple business units. Deliver actionable insights on financial performance, variance analysis, and key operational drivers. Partner with operations and leadership to support strategic initiatives, pricing strategies, and margin optimization. Develop and enhance financial models, dashboards, and KPI reporting using business intelligence tools. Manufacturing Finance & Cost Accounting Provide oversight and insight into cost accounting, inventory valuation, and standard costing methodologies. Analyze labor, material, and overhead costs to drive efficiencies and improve profitability. Support plant-level financial performance and collaborate with operations leaders on continuous improvement initiatives. Financial Operations & Accounting Oversee core accounting functions including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll accounting, fixed assets, and cash management. Ensure accurate and timely month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes. Lead consolidation of financials across multiple entities or business units. Maintain compliance with GAAP, internal controls, and audit requirements. Leadership & Cross-Functional Partnership Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing finance and accounting team. Act as a financial business partner to department leaders, improving financial acumen and accountability. Foster a culture of continuous improvement, transparency, and operational excellence. Treasury & Strategic Support Monitor cash flow, working capital, and short-term forecasting. Support capital planning, investment analysis, and strategic decision-making initiatives. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; CPA or MBA preferred. 10+ years of progressive finance experience, including at least 5 years in a leadership role. Strong background in FP&A within a manufacturing environment. Experience supporting multiple business units, divisions, or entities highly preferred. Deep understanding of cost accounting, financial modeling, and operational finance. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with business intelligence tools preferred. Experience with ERP systems; Epicor preferred. Strong communication skills with the ability to influence senior leadership. Preferred Experience Manufacturing environment with complex cost structures and inventory management. Experience supporting dealer/distributor or multi-channel business models. Background in scaling financial processes across growing or multi-site organizations.

Pay:

$120,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
