Job Description
Our client, a high-growth, middle-market consumer lending platform, is seeking a Vice President of Finance. Reporting to the President, this highly visible role oversees FP&A, treasury, accounting, financial reporting, and debt financing while serving as a strategic business partner to the executive leadership team. The ideal candidate will bring deep experience within a lending-based financial services organization and a proven track record leading financial strategy, capital management, and business performance in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities
Lead annual budgeting, forecasting, long-range planning, and financial modeling.
Oversee cash management, liquidity planning, treasury operations, debt facilities, and lender relationships, including negotiating financing terms, evaluating financing alternatives, and ensuring compliance with debt covenants.
Provide strategic financial analysis and business recommendations to executive leadership.
Own monthly financial reporting, performance analysis, and executive presentations.
Lead a lean Accounting and Finance team while remaining actively involved in day-to-day execution.
Serve as a strategic finance partner to the Strategy and Analytics team, translating data and business trends into actionable financial insights and recommendations.
Negotiate key vendor pricing and contracts, partnering with cross-functional stakeholders to achieve favorable financial outcomes.
Support fundraising activities, financial due diligence, and investor-related initiatives as needed.
Drive process improvements through automation, AI, and technology.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business or related field required; MBA or Master's degree preferred.
10+ years of progressive finance leadership experience with senior leadership exposure.
Experience within a consumer lending, fintech, marketplace lending, or specialty finance organization with direct exposure to asset-backed lending, debt facilities, and capital markets.
Advanced FP&A, budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling expertise.
Experience structuring, negotiating, and managing debt facilities and lender relationships.
Proven ability to partner with executive leadership and influence strategic decisions.
Comfortable operating as a hands-on, player-coach within a lean finance organization.
Demonstrated ability to navigate complex financial and capital environments while providing sound strategic and business judgment.
Advanced Excel skills required; NetSuite experience preferred. SQL or data warehouse experience is a plus.
