ScopeReporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer, the Controller serves as a key strategic leader overseeing all Accounting operations. This individual provides hands‑on direction for day‑to‑day financial activities while ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and internal accounting standards.

Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial Leadership & OversightLead the Accounting team in maintaining compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and internal financial policies.

Oversee daily workflow, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and strong execution across all accounting functions.

Treasury, Liquidity & Investment ManagementManage cash flow, banking relationships, and investment activities.

Act as a primary liaison with external financial partners and institutions.

Audit, Tax & ComplianceServe as the main point of contact for external auditors, including annual financial audits and other audits.

Draft management responses, implement corrective actions, and support compliance activities.

Assist in the preparation and review of the organization's annual Form 990 and other required filings.

Financial ReportingDirect the preparation of financial statements and reports used across the organization, including monthly management reports, quarterly materials for the Board of Trustees, registration filings, and other specialized reporting needs.

Present financial results, trends, risks, and opportunities to senior executives, leadership teams, and governing bodies.

Participate in Committee and Board meetings to support operational and strategic decision‑making.

Cross‑Functional CollaborationPartner with Human Resources to support audits and renewals related to employee related plans.

Culture, Controls & Continuous ImprovementStrengthen internal control systems and promote financial best practices throughout the organization.

Coach and develop team members, fostering an environment focused on accountability, learning, and operational excellence.
