Position Summary We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Controller to lead our financial operations as we continue to scale our multi-entity business. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the financial integrity, compliance, and reporting across our expanding portfolio of companies, including our Texas and Colorado operations. This role requires a deep understanding of managing "arm's-length" inter-company transactions, multi-state tax compliance, and robust financial systems. You will serve as the financial gatekeeper, ensuring our corporate structure remains sound while providing strategic oversight to the leadership team.

Key Responsibilities Multi-Entity Financial Management:

Oversee full-cycle accounting for multiple legal entities. Ensure strict separation of financial records, banking, and general ledgers to maintain corporate compliance (protecting the "corporate veil").

Inter-Company Oversight:

Manage complex inter-company service agreements (MSAs) and rental schedules. Ensure accurate invoicing and payment processing between entities (e.g., equipment leasing and labor burden sharing) to maintain audit-ready, arm's-length transactional records. System Mastery (QBO): Act as the lead administrator for QuickBooks Online. Maintain accurate chart of accounts, facilitate seamless data synchronization between our operational software (Service Fusion) and accounting platforms, and ensure clean data flow.

Multi-State Tax Compliance:

Manage sales and use tax filing requirements for both Texas and Colorado. Stay ahead of state-specific regulatory deadlines and nexus requirements as we expand into new jurisdictions.

Financial Reporting & Analysis:

Prepare accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Provide actionable insights on job costing, fleet expenses, and operational profitability to support executive decision-making.

Operational Integration:

Collaborate with our operations team to ensure revenue recognition is properly segmented by location and entity. Monitor payroll and insurance filings to ensure each entity remains independently compliant.

Qualifications Technical Proficiency:

Advanced expertise in QuickBooks Online is required. Experience integrating operational field service software (e.g., Service Fusion) with QBO is highly preferred.

Multi-Entity Experience:

Proven track record of managing accounting for related legal entities, including shared service agreements and allocations.

Compliance & Tax Knowledge:

Demonstrated experience with multi-state sales and use tax, payroll tax regulations, and independent entity financial management.

Precision and Ethics:

Unwavering attention to detail regarding asset tracking, depreciation schedules, and legal compliance.

Communication:
