We are seeking an experienced Controller for a client that needs a seasoned financial leader and trusted expert in the room. This position is ideal for a hands-on finance professional who can oversee accounting operations, strengthen financial controls, guide decision-making, and serve as a strategic resource to company leadership. Responsibilities Oversee financial management, accounting operations, and reporting across multiple entities. Maintain a strong understanding of GAAP and ensure accurate, compliant financial records. Lead budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and cash-flow planning. Monitor and safeguard company assets through effective asset-control procedures. Manage and maintain financial information using Sage Quantum. Provide tax guidance and prepare accurate, well-organized information for review by the company's outside CPA. Support sales-tax compliance, reporting, and related research. Serve as an internal financial advisor to leadership and operational teams. Analyze financial results, identify trends or risks, and provide practical recommendations. Establish and improve accounting procedures, internal controls, and documentation. Perform hands-on review and oversight of general accounting activities as needed. Collaborate with external accountants, auditors, tax advisors, and other business partners. Ensure financial information is accurate, timely, and useful for operational and strategic decisions. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required. Significant experience in financial management, controllership, or a similar senior accounting role. CPA designation preferred, but not required. Strong understanding of GAAP and tax-related accounting requirements. Experience overseeing financial activity for multiple legal entities. Demonstrated expertise in budgeting, forecasting, financial controls, and asset management. Sage Quantum experience preferred. Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and working knowledge of Word, Outlook, and Teams. Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to balance strategic oversight with hands-on execution in a dynamic environment.

Pay:

$100,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
