Company Overview Our client is a rapidly growing, privately held manufacturing company serving customers nationwide. Position Overview We are seeking a hands-on Controller to partner closely with the CFO and lead the day-to-day accounting function. This role will oversee the monthly close process, financial reporting, reconciliations, audit and tax support, and accounting process improvement initiatives. The Controller will assume ownership of many core accounting responsibilities, allowing the CFO to focus on broader strategic and operational priorities. - Manage and improve the monthly close process
- Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reports
- Oversee general ledger activity and maintain balance sheet integrity
- Support AP, AR, inventory accounting, and cost accounting functions
- Assist with audits, tax reporting, and special projects
- Partner with leadership on financial reporting and process improvements
- Help recruit, train, and develop future accounting team members
- Maintain and optimize accounting processes within Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central Desired Experience
- Manufacturing accounting experience, including inventory and cost accounting exposure
- Strong month-end close, financial reporting, and general ledger expertise
- Experience supporting external audits and audited financial statements
- Background in small to mid-sized businesses preferred
- Tax reporting experience and Dynamics 365 Business Central exposure are a plus
