Summary The America's Controller of Finance and Accounting is a strategic leader partnering with senior leadership, operations, and commercial teams. Oversees annual budget creation, monthly forecasting, performance analysis, company reporting, and business intelligence initiatives. Supports sales in the US (primary), Canada, Mexico, and South America; manufacturing in Mexico (primary) and Dallas; and distribution in Chicago.
Plays a major role in a finance transformation project shifting to a Global West Shared Service Center in Mexico, enabling local teams to focus more on business partnering than on transactional reporting.

Reports to the President of the Americas and represents H&K's Controllership responsibilities in the Americas and Business Partnering FP&A responsibilities Member of the senior leadership team providing financial planning and analytical leadership Strategic and tactical business partner and advisor to the CFO and upper management Monitors, analyzes, and reports on company performance to all relevant internal stakeholders Responsible for identifying and implementing business efficiencies Responsible for the creation, monitoring, and administration of the Company's budgeting and forecasting processes Leads the Annual Budget process in alignment with the Company's strategic plan Manages the budget process: develops models/templates, communicates timelines, reviews proposals, finalizes and loads approved budgets, processes change requests, and captures lessons learned for improvement Manages the monthly forecast process: develops forecast models/templates, communicates timelines with sales personnel, finalizes and distributes approved forecasts. Provides timely and accurate forecast analysis and monthly/YTD performance reviews covering cost-saving initiatives, sales initiatives, capital spending, pricing changes, and other KPIs. Responsible for all key internal financial, operational, and commercial reporting Reviews and prepares monthly reporting packages for Senior Leadership, the Board of Directors, Operations, and Commercial teams Oversees key periodic reporting (daily, weekly, monthly, annual) Supports the Accounting team on external reporting requirements Manages and oversees Field FP&A, reporting, and other financially related projects Provides analytical support to leadership, operations, and commercial teams, including meeting participation, tool/template development, and actionable reporting Leads the Company's Business Intelligence initiatives in partnership with IT Supports M&A activities including due diligence, integration, budget creation, and post-acquisition analysis Assists the CFO and Director of Finance with Treasury, Capital Markets, Capital Structure, Debt Agreements, and related areas Monitors trends and regulations to ensure compliance and FP&A effectiveness Develops a strong team culture focused on people development, accountability, respect, and results Leads Americas FP&A staff, Accounting teams, Controllers, and other functional leaders Develops future leadership talent Builds and manages departments to deliver on strategic goals Promotes a servant leadership approach Evaluates individual/department performance and makes personnel adjustments as needed Provides training, feedback, and growth opportunities to develop rising talent Drives process change to increase efficiency in accounting, FP&A, and business processes Administers internal reporting processes with best practices Ensures internal control activities are understood and maintained Continuously identifies and implements process improvements Establishes strong collaboration with other department heads Coordinates with Accounting on financial close and related activities Partners with General Counsel, legal counsel, and professional service firms on finance and FP&A matters Reviews and provides input on significant contracts and agreements Works with IT to develop and enhance financial systems and Business Intelligence tools Assumes other duties and responsibilities as required or assigned by management Adheres to the Code of Business Ethics , upholding honesty, integrity, and the highest ethical standards
