Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Vice President of Lending to lead our lending division with energy, expertise, and strategic vision. In this pivotal role, you will oversee all aspects of loan origination, processing, and servicing across various financial products, including mortgages, commercial loans, and consumer lending. Your leadership will drive growth, ensure compliance with industry regulations, and foster a customer-centric approach that elevates our reputation in the financial services sector. Responsibilities Develop and implement comprehensive lending strategies aligned with organizational goals to expand market share and improve loan portfolio quality. Oversee the entire loan lifecycle, from origination through approval, documentation, funding, and ongoing servicing, ensuring adherence to all regulatory requirements such as TILA (Truth in Lending Act) and industry standards like FNMA (Fannie Mae) guidelines. Lead and mentor a team of loan officers and lending professionals, fostering a collaborative environment focused on exceptional customer service and operational excellence. Ensure compliance with banking regulations, financial laws, and internal policies related to mortgage services, commercial lending, and banking operations. Analyze industry trends, economic data, and risk factors using Excel data analysis tools to inform lending decisions and mitigate potential credit risks. Maintain strong client communication channels to understand borrower needs, explain loan options clearly, and facilitate smooth transaction processes. Collaborate with cross-functional teams on loan processing workflows, contracts management, and financial software systems to optimize efficiency. Monitor industry knowledge of financial regulations and adapt policies proactively to ensure ongoing compliance in a rapidly evolving regulatory environment. Experience Proven experience in loan origination within the financial services or banking industry, with a strong background in mortgage or commercial lending analysis. Demonstrated leadership in managing teams within a high-volume lending environment; experience in team leadership is essential. Extensive knowledge of financial sales techniques combined with excellent customer service skills to build lasting client relationships. Familiarity with mortgage services including FNMA guidelines, TILA regulations, loan processing procedures, and loan servicing practices. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications—especially Excel for data analysis—and financial software systems used in banking operations. Strong understanding of industry-specific financial regulations governing banking compliance and risk management practices. Ability to perform basic math calculations accurately (including 10 key typing) for credit analysis and contract review purposes. $120,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year
