At Red River Outdoor Living, we know you want to use your accounting and financial leadership skills to make a real impact — not just push numbers from one column to another. To do that, you need a company that values clarity, accuracy, and growth. The problem? Many businesses don't give their financial leaders a seat at the table. Important decisions get made without solid data. Systems are scattered. Leadership is reactive instead of proactive — and it's frustrating. We believe great financial leadership deserves better. Join a Growing Company That Wants Your Expertise — Not Just Your Labor Red River Outdoor Living is a rapidly expanding outdoor living, landscaping, and pool installation company serving Northeast Texas and Southeast Oklahoma. With two branches and about 45 employees, our financial needs have outgrown basic accounting work — and we're ready to bring in a Controller who can provide structure, clarity, and long-term financial leadership. That's where you come in. We're looking for a Controller who takes ownership, builds strong systems, and provides the accurate, timely financial insights our leadership team relies on. What You'll Do (Your Mission) As the leadership team member representing our Accounting Department, you'll bring order, visibility, and confidence to our financial operations by: Providing Accurate Visibility Lead month-end and year-end closing processes
Prepare accurate, timely financial statements and management reports
Maintain general ledger accuracy across all departments and branches Performing Detailed Accounting Work (Not Just Oversight) Perform all bank, credit card, and balance sheet account reconciliations each month

Work closely with our off-site CPA for reviews, tax planning, and financial strategy Creating Order and Improving Systems Oversee payroll administration and ensure compliance with labor laws
Process employee benefits, including company-provided Life Insurance and AD&D

Administer taxes, sales tax filings, and 401(k) plan contributions

Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax requirements
Maintain strong internal controls and accurate documentation Guiding Leadership With Reliable Data Provide financial analysis, forecasting, and insights for strategic decisions
Attend relevant company meetings and provide financial information as needed
Help leadership plan confidently rather than reactively What Makes You a Strong Fit You're the kind of person who: Brings order to complexity
