Job Description

We are looking for a Financial Controller in Utah. This position partners closely with plant and operations leadership to strengthen planning, improve performance visibility, and support sound business decisions. The role combines hands-on analysis with strategic guidance across budgeting, cost management, reporting, and operational controls.
Responsibilities:
  • Develop operating plans, support budgeting activities, and help establish departmental rates and standard costing assumptions for the facility.
  • Partner with cross-functional leaders to align financial planning with production goals and the broader factory business strategy.
  • Evaluate operational and financial trends, identify performance risks or emerging issues, and drive timely corrective actions.
  • Advise manufacturing and operations leadership on matters affecting current results, long-term efficiency, and overall plant performance.
  • Review daily manufacturing metrics such as inventory levels, backorders, capacity utilization, scrap, rework, productivity, and preproduction activity to investigate variances and recommend solutions.
  • Collaborate with operations management to address challenges involving staffing, product quality, design coordination, and cost improvement opportunities.
  • Present financial and operational performance insights during management reviews and other recurring business meetings.
  • Lead the development and refinement of accounting procedures, reporting tools, and internal control practices that support manufacturing performance monitoring.
  • Track capital spending against approved budgets, maintain accurate fixed asset records, and support inventory accuracy improvements with operational teams.
