Job Description
William King Museum of Art seeks a full-time, detail-oriented, strategic, and collaborative Director of Finance and Administration to oversee the Museum's financial operations, budgeting, accounting, human resources, and administrative functions. This leadership position plays a vital role in ensuring the Museum's fiscal integrity while supporting its mission to inspire creativity and enrich the community through the arts. Key Responsibilities Manage all accounting and financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, audits, and cash flow. Prepare monthly and annual financial statements and reports for leadership and the Board of Trustees. Oversee payroll, accounts payable/receivable, banking, investments, and grant financial reporting. Develop and monitor the Museum's annual operating budget and long-term financial planning. Administer employee benefits, retirement plans, and human resources functions. Ensure compliance with nonprofit accounting standards, tax filings, and internal financial controls. Supervise administrative staff and oversee office operations, insurance, and financial policies. Serve as staff liaison to the Finance and Executive Committees and support Board reporting. Report to the Museum Director on strategic planning and organizational management. Other duties may be assigned by the Museum Director. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. Experience with progressively responsible financial management experience, preferably in a nonprofit organization. Strong knowledge of nonprofit accounting principles, budgeting, payroll, and financial reporting. Experience with accounting software, Microsoft Office, and financial analysis. Excellent organizational, analytical, communication, and leadership skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality and manage multiple priorities with accuracy and professionalism.
