Job Description Insight Global is looking to hire a Controller in Chesapeake, Virginia. This individual will oversee all financial operations for a construction-focused organization, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, payroll, and financial reporting. They will manage the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, prepare and analyze financial statements, and ensure compliance with GAAP and company policies. This person will lead the annual budgeting process, develop financial forecasts, monitor budget performance, and provide recommendations based on financial results. They will also manage percentage-of-completion accounting, track project costs and profitability, partner with project managers on job costing and billing, and implement internal controls and process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy. Additionally, they will supervise and mentor accounting staff while supporting the overall financial health of the business. Compensation ranges from $110,000 to $140,000 annually based on experience. • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 5+ years of accounting experience with 3+ years in a Controller role
• Experience with construction accounting and percentage-of-completion accounting
• Experience managing month-end and year-end close, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting
• Experience overseeing accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger functions
• CPA certification
• Experience with Deltek
• Advanced Excel and financial modeling experience
