Job Description

We are looking for an accomplished finance leader to guide the organization's fiscal strategy and administrative operations in Petersburg, Virginia. This role partners closely with executive leadership to strengthen financial planning, safeguard compliance, and support informed decision-making across the organization. The ideal candidate brings strong judgment, discretion, and the ability to lead teams and processes that keep finance and administration running effectively.
Responsibilities:
  • Lead the organization's financial and administrative activities, ensuring daily operations align with strategic and operational goals.
  • Direct the development of annual budgets, monitor performance against financial plans, and provide insight to support sound resource allocation.
  • Oversee accounting functions, month-end close activities, audits, reimbursement processes, and timely financial reporting for leadership review.
  • Manage cash flow forecasting and treasury activities to maintain financial stability and support ongoing program needs.
  • Establish and strengthen internal controls, procurement practices, and financial procedures to promote accuracy, accountability, and regulatory compliance.
  • Advise senior leadership on financial policies, administrative standards, and risk considerations tied to organizational decisions.
  • Supervise finance and administration staff, providing leadership, direction, and performance oversight across the department.
  • Coordinate facilities-related administrative functions and support operational improvements that enhance program and service delivery.
  • Build productive working relationships with internal leaders and external finance counterparts to support collaboration and consistency in financial management.
