Job Description:
We are seeking a hands-on Accounting Director / Controller to lead accounting and financial reporting for a multi-entity organization. This role will be responsible for month-end close, financial reporting, internal controls, audit management, and process improvement initiatives. About the Role The ideal candidate is a strong accounting leader who enjoys building structure, improving processes, and partnering with operations and executive leadership. Responsibilities Lead the month-end close and financial reporting processes. Oversee consolidations and intercompany accounting activities. Ensure balance sheet integrity through account reconciliations and review procedures. Strengthen internal controls and accounting policies. Manage annual external audits and support compliance requirements. Drive accounting process improvements and systems initiatives. Partner with leadership on special projects and strategic initiatives. Develop and mentor accounting team members. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance. CPA required. 7+ years of progressive accounting experience. Previous Controller, Assistant Controller, or Accounting Manager experience. Strong knowledge of US GAAP and financial reporting. Experience in a multi-entity environment. ERP system experience required. Manufacturing or industrial industry experience preferred. Experience working within a global organization is a plus. Required Skills Hands-on leadership style. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Ability to improve processes and drive accountability. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and results.
