Job Description

Description We are looking for an experienced Controller to join our team in Kenmore, Washington. This role will oversee financial operations, ensure compliance with fiscal policies, and provide strategic support to key stakeholders. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in accounting systems and leadership skills to drive financial success.
Responsibilities:
  • Supervise the Finance Office and Student Accounts team, ensuring efficient and effective operations.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain fiscal systems and procedures to enhance financial management.
  • Collaborate with managers and staff to coordinate fiscal accounting activities and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
  • Provide guidance to administrators on fiscal policies and practices to support informed decision-making.
  • Oversee financial accounting systems, including the implementation of new technologies to improve processes.
  • Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for internal and external stakeholders, analyzing reports and addressing any financial concerns.
  • Manage cash flow and banking operations, including short- and long-term cash management plans.
  • Direct fiscal administration of financial aid programs, including student loan collections and compliance with financial aid regulations.
  • Project revenues, expenditures, and cash flow to ensure adherence to debt covenant obligations.
  • Coordinate annual financial audits and prepare reports for federal and state agencies, including overseeing special accounts such as grants and endowments.
The salary range for this position is $130,000 to $200,000.

  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is required.
  • Proven experience in non-profit accounting and financial management.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and develop teams effectively.
  • Proficiency in document control and scanning processes.
  • Expertise in compiling and analyzing financial documents and reports.
  • Knowledge of financial aid administration and compliance.
  • Familiarity with federal and state reporting requirements and audit coordination.
  • Advanced proficiency in financial systems and software applications.
