Responsibilities Lead the preparation and analysis of comprehensive financial reports, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and timeliness in line with IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards) and GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles). Oversee all aspects of accounting operations including general ledger management, balance sheet reconciliation, accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and cost accounting analysis. Manage the financial close process, ensuring all entries are accurately recorded and compliant with regulatory reporting requirements. Supervise and develop the accounting team, fostering a collaborative environment focused on continuous improvement in financial management practices. Implement and maintain robust internal controls aligned with SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act) requirements to safeguard assets and ensure regulatory compliance. Conduct detailed financial analysis using spreadsheets and Excel data analysis tools to support budgeting, forecasting, and strategic decision-making. Oversee treasury management activities including cash flow forecasting, banking relationships, and liquidity optimization for both non-profit and governmental accounting contexts. Ensure adherence to all regulatory standards related to public accounting, governmental accounting, and nonprofit sector requirements. Utilize advanced accounting systems and financial software to streamline processes, improve data accuracy, and enhance reporting capabilities. Experience Proven experience as a Financial Controller or similar senior finance role within diverse sectors such as non-profit organizations or government agencies. Extensive knowledge of accounting principles including

IFRS, GAAP, SOX

compliance, regulatory reporting, and technical accounting standards. Demonstrated expertise in managing accounting teams with strong leadership skills in finance team management. Strong background in financial concepts such as double entry bookkeeping, account reconciliation, account analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting. Hands-on experience with financial software systems; proficiency in spreadsheets, Excel data analysis tools, and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems is essential. Familiarity with international accounting standards and governmental regulations enhances your ability to navigate complex compliance landscapes.
