Assistant Controller

Jamie Benway with Robert Half is looking for an Assistant Controller to support financial operations for a growing organization in Vancouver, Washington. This role will help maintain accurate reporting, strengthen accounting processes, and contribute to a smooth monthly close cycle. The ideal candidate brings strong technical accounting knowledge, careful attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee key accounting activities that support timely and accurate completion of the month-end close process.
• Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements and supporting schedules to ensure reliable reporting.
• Assist in maintaining internal controls and accounting procedures that promote compliance and operational consistency.
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts, investigate variances, and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
• Partner with leadership and cross-functional teams to provide financial insights and support business decision-making.
• Contribute to process improvements within the accounting function, including updates tied to systems or workflow changes when needed.
• Support audit preparation by organizing documentation and responding to requests from external or internal reviewers.

Salary Range:

$160,000-$180,000
