How do you stay physically prepared for this kind of work? Let's say the weather isn't ideal—light rain, cold temps, or a very hot day—but you still have a job scheduled. How do you prepare mentally and physically to get the work done safely and efficiently? This role involves frequent long-distance driving and travel across multiple states, with a flexible schedule that's built around customer appointments. Can you share your experience with long-distance driving or travel-based work, and how you feel about managing a schedule that changes from day to day? Some installations require an overnight stay due to distance or scheduling. Can you tell us how you feel about overnight travel for work, and whether you've had experience staying overnight on the job before? You arrive at your install and realize you're missing a small but essential tool or part. What would you do next, and how would you communicate that to the team and customer? We're currently hiring for part-time weekend/afternoon availability. However, there is high potential for this role to move into full time capacity as we move into Spring 2026. What does your ideal work schedule look like? Please let us know your availability (e.g., full-time, part-time, weekends only, open availability), and feel free to include any preferences or limitations we should be aware of. Tell us about a time you had to figure something out on the spot—without a manual or clear instructions. What did you do, and how did it turn out? You're in uniform, on a customer's property, and their neighbor comes over asking questions about what you're doing. How would you represent The Hybrid Geek in that moment? Our core values are Grit, Excellence, Execution, Kaizen (continuous improvement), and Sustainability. Which of these values speaks to you the most, and why? This role requires managing your own schedule, keeping track of inventory, and documenting every install. How do you stay organized and accountable when you're working solo? Let's say you're scheduled for an install 3 hours away, but your vehicle gets a flat tire on the way. What do you do, and how would you communicate with the team and customer?Work Location:
