In addition, this position is responsible for resolving agent-consumer issues relating to examination and title issues. Job Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Job Functions) Confer with title officers and examiners, recommending solutions and identifying means to correct title problems. Assist President and County Managers in recommending appropriate risk conscious business decisions. (50 - 60%) Troubleshoot and act as liaison between escrow, sales associates and consumers, when resolution at another level or department of the organization has not been effectively addressed. This may include but is not limited to technical questions and problems in the examination and recording process, and underwriting problems that may occur prior to or post close of escrow, recordation and issuance of policy. (15 - 20%) Provide supervision of staff. (10 - 20%) Support the recruitment, training, development, evaluation, motivation, and retention of staff to help ensure strong departmental performance and achievement of company objectives. Ensure employees stay informed on current practices, process updates and new developments relevant to the title industry. Contribute to a safe, efficient, and positive work environment by helping maintain effective working conditions, organized spaces, and the resources needed to meet departmental objectives. Delegate work to office staff when necessary Fill in for the Title Officers (when needed), examine and issue title commitments particularly for more complex, high-liability and commercial transactions. (10 - 20%) Provide guidance, technical and examining assistance to various functions. (5 - 10%) Maintain a close relationship with insurance underwriters and confer with them as technical issues arise which require their consideration or approval. Offer technical and examining assistance guidance to the recording and policy areas as needed. This will include review and approval of recording documents as needed by the recording supervisor. Provide assistance to the policy coordinator as needed on issues of new policies endorsements, etc. Work closely with the President and County Managers on day-to-day operational underwriting matters. Partner with underwriting when necessary to consult and advise the President and County manager, as needed, on business decisions. This advice and consultation will be based on acceptable underwriting practices and business necessities. Handle all scriveners' errors, claims processing and follow-up. (0 - 5%) Performs other duties as requested or as needed to fulfill the purpose of the job (0-5%) Performance Expectations Meet all performance and behavior expectations outlined in the company performance appraisal form or communicated by management. Qualifications Education:
Bachelor's degree in business administration or related field; or equivalent work experience and knowledge.Experience:
Minimum 7+ years of successively more complex title examining (commercial and/or sectionals). Previous supervisory experience preferred.Knowledge and Skills:
Demonstrated knowledge of title issues, statutes and laws relating to real estate ownership and conveyance. Effective oral and written communication skills. Group presentation skills. Moderate / high level of software proficiency including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with a variety of specialized title software programs. Ability to work well under production deadlines while maintaining positive attitude. Detail-oriented; excellent proofing, analytical and problem-solving skills. Demonstrated organizational and administrative skills. Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and projects concurrently. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Strong commitment to highly responsive customer service. Other (licenses, certifications, schedule flexibility/OT, travel, etc.): Documented history of high-performance results and leadership qualities in previous positions.Wage:
$80,000.00 - $90,000.00 annually; actual wage is based upon education and experience. Potential for formulary incentive plan, based on financial results.Benefits:
