Job Description
Job SummaryThe Field Technician is responsible for providing on-site technical support, installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of production-related technology systems. This role serves as a critical link between the support center and engineering teams, ensuring seamless technology performance across studio and remote environments.________________________________________Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain production technology equipment at various field locations.
- Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and infrastructure issues.
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on systems and devices.
- Document service activities, including installation, troubleshooting, and repair reports.
- Collaborate with engineering and support teams to escalate and resolve complex issues.
- Provide desk-side support when remote troubleshooting is insufficient.
- Manage inventory of tools, replacement parts, and service equipment.
- Train end-users on proper equipment usage and basic troubleshooting.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and company standards.________________________________________Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications preferred.
- 2+ years of experience in field support or technical services, preferably in media or production environments.
- Proficiency with diagnostic tools, hand tools, and field automation systems.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel to multiple sites.________________________________________Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting production systems in studio or broadcast environments.
- Familiarity with Capgemini support standards and Disney production workflows.
- Knowledge of SNOW (ServiceNow) ticketing systems and assignment group protocols.________________________________________Work Environment
- Fast-paced, dynamic production settings.
- May require flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
- Physical demands include lifting equipment, standing for extended periods, and working in varied environmental conditions.
