Role:
The Account Processor is responsible for account setup and supporting the underwriting process within a payment processing company. This position works closely with the Underwriting team to ensure new accounts are accurately entered into the company's systems, required documentation is obtained, organized, and uploaded, and accounts move efficiently through the review process. This role is a great opportunity for someone who is organized, detail-oriented, comfortable working with computer systems, and interested in developing experience in payment processing and underwriting operations.
Responsibilities:
- Review and organize incoming account information and documentation.
- Research and obtain relevant business and ownership documentation from online sources.
- Provide administrative and documentation support to the Underwriting team.
- Upload and maintain account documents in the company's ERP and other systems.
- Manage an assigned queue and prioritize tasks to meet established timelines.
- Identify missing or incomplete information and assist with obtaining required documentation.
- Communicate with Underwriting and other internal teams regarding account processing needs.
- Assist with reports, projects, and other operational tasks as needed while following company procedures and maintaining accuracy.
Qualifications:
Required
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, accounts, and priorities.
- Ability to independently manage and complete an assigned workload or queue.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Comfortable working with computer systems, electronic files, and online research tools.
- Ability to learn and navigate internal systems and ERP software.
- Good written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work effectively with others.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Dependable, self-motivated, and able to meet deadlines. Preferred
- Previous experience in payment processing, banking, financial services, underwriting support, or a similar administrative or operations role.
- Experience working with ERP systems or other account or document management platforms.
- Experience reviewing, organizing, or researching business and ownership documentation.
