Senior Underwriting Assistant

We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Underwriting Assistant to join our Middle Market Package team. This role is essential to supporting the underwriting lifecycle; from submission through issuance, while ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our underwriting operations. You'll work closely with underwriters and cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality service and technical expertise. What you'll be doing What will your essential responsibilities include? Provide critical support to underwriters on end-to-end processes underwriting processes, from initial submission review through policy issuance and post-bind activities Operate and maintain proficiency in various underwriting systems Manage multiple workflows and maintain visibility into task status and deadlines Assist in creating quotes, binders, certificates, and endorsements Ensure all documentation is properly filed and compliant with audit standards Review policies and discuss changes with underwriters Mentor and train newer Underwriting Assistants Conduct quarterly peer audit reviews Support report preparation and distribution for managers and underwriters Monitor account receivables and assist the accounting team with reconciliation Participate in User Acceptance Testing for system enhancements Contribute to special projects and assignments as needed You will report to Team Lead. What you'll bring We're looking for someone who has these abilities and skills: College Degree Preferred Some technical experience in an insurance/reinsurance company Solid understanding of Middle MarketQuoting

• which premium should we be using? The quote screen premium or the actual premium of everything added up Coding
• what is the best way for ESS to code and account for any discrepancies? The policies
• how should we handle the dec page and all the premium discrepancies there? Endorsements
• what happens when one of these vehicles is removed?

What should we be returning?
