Join our Amwins Access State Fund team in Santa Rosa as a Senior Associate Broker! This is a full-time, in office position in our Santa Rosa, CA office with a hybrid schedule once training is complete. Position Summary:
Access State Fund Senior Associate Broker will work with the retail agent to analyze new business submissions, evaluate coverage needs/terms, and submit to the carrier. They will submit new business quotes to the agents and assist with binding of the policy. They also work with retail agencies to educate them on carrier requirements, as well as Amwins products, programs, and capabilities.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Analyzes risks to determine eligibility, appropriate classification(s) and carrier(s). Know available products, underwriting guidelines, and binding requirements for the line(s) of business they are responsible for. Submit new business information to carrier, via on-line portal. Offers quotes, noting all subjectivities and conditions. Responsible for developing and maintaining strong working relationships with carrier underwriters, and internal and external customers. Reviews inspections for recommendations, discrepancies, compliance with underwriting guidelines. Understands premium commitments to specific carriers to balance the book and meet obligations. Answers questions from the retail brokers and/or carrier Effectively use the company's agency managements system as well as other tools to perform their duties. Binds business within established guidelines. Review and approve policies and endorsements within authority. Performs special projects as assigned.
Qualifications & Skills:
College degree preferred. P&C License required. Must have strong knowledge of workers compensation insurance. Must be able to classify and rate risks. Must regularly exercise discretion and sound judgement. Must have excellent typing skills. Must have excellent organization skills. Must have strong computer skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Office's Excel, Outlook and Word. Work from the Santa Rosa, CA office location preferred.
Physical Demands:
