Summary:
Responsible for providing data processing support for underwriters and associate underwriters. Duties include providing service in working with underwriting teams to understand renewal programs and create/manage data records within the Agency Management System as appropriate. Primary responsibilities will include processing insurance policies, assisting with underwriting activities, handling customer inquiries, and maintaining accurate records. Assures all related support activities are delivered in a manner consistent with business unit customer service focus.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Enters, manages, and manipulates data in various Agency Management systems and online tools (including C1 and proprietary carrier web portals).
- Extracts and compiles data from various sources such as insurance applications, proposals, insurance binders and policies.
- Responsible for accurate coding of accounts in Agency Management system.
- Responsible for policy issuance and endorsement processing, including cancellations.
- Issues Direct Notices of Non-Renewal based on premium collection standards of the agency.
- Reviews binders for accuracy and compliance with established policy form guidelines.
- Ensures accurate and timely servicing of accounts in accordance with Division or Department Service Standards.
- Assist with general administrative tasks such as filing, scanning, and faxing documents.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic and physical records of policies, endorsements, and other relevant documents.
- Ensure compliance with data protection regulations and internal data management policies.
- Provide assistance with policy changes, endorsements, and claims inquiries.
- Follow up on outstanding documentation and information requests.
- Assist in the processing of insurance policies, including data entry, policy issuance, and policy endorsements.
- Review applications and related documents for completeness and accuracy.
- Collaborate with underwriters to ensure policies comply with MEC guidelines/regulatory requirements.
- Provides administrative support and other related services as needed.
- Participates in projects/assignments as needed.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 1+ years of office experience.
- 1+ years of customer service experience.
Key Competencies:
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and documentation.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Proficiency in using office software such as Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Knowledge of insurance terminology, policies, and procedures is a plus but not required.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a customer-focused approach.
Job Type:
